A Handful a Day

A large handful (100g) of raw spinach provides a host of nutrients. These include vitamin A which promotes healthy, clear skin and vision; vitamin C which aids the growth of healthy connective tissue and folate which contributes to a healthy immune system.

Turn up the Heat in the Kitchen

Here at Discover Great Veg we’d take any excuse to tuck into a curry! Spinach is a key ingredient to many curries, especially in Indian inspired dishes. ‘Saag’ is the most common Indian dish that contains spinach. It’s so simple, because one of the best things about spinach is that you don’t even need to worry about chopping it! Just pop a large handful in a saucepan and simmer with cumin, coriander and a pinch of salt and pepper.
